A better fit.

1. Measure a necklace you like from end to end, including its fastening, laid straight without stretching it.
2. Alternatively, drape a soft tape or piece of string around your neckline at the length listed for this piece.
3. Check the pendant dimensions separately from the chain length. An extension adds length only when an extension is listed for the selected piece.

The same chain length sits differently on different people. Try it against the neckline you plan to wear.

1. Wrap a soft measuring tape around the place on your wrist where you like to wear a bracelet. Keep it comfortably close, without pulling tight.
2. No tape? Use a strip of paper, mark where the ends meet, then measure that length with a ruler.
3. For a chain bracelet, compare the listed length with a bracelet you already enjoy wearing. Leave room for the movement you prefer.
4. For an open cuff, compare its inner width, depth and opening with a cuff that fits. Inner width is not your wrist circumference. Do not bend a cuff unless its product details say it is adjustable.

A worn photograph shows styling and scale. Use the listed measurements to judge your own fit.

1. Use a ruler to compare the listed height and width with earrings you already own.
2. For a drop earring, look at the full drop length. For a hoop, distinguish the outside diameter from the space inside it.
3. Compare any listed inner diameter with the distance from your piercing to the edge of your earlobe. Piercing position changes how a hoop sits.
